You won't commit

You won't commit…

Maybe you really can't do it…

You may be right; committing to a class time isn't practical for you at this point of your life.

There's just too much happening at home and at work. Trust me, I get it.

And who has the energy or motivation year-round?

You would think it would get easier now that summer is over, but between your kids' school and sports schedule, homework, and keeping up with a household, everything else takes priority before you.

But what if you did commit to a time slot? That no matter what happens, you can't or won't cancel the appointment you made for yourself?

I would almost bet there are a few appointments you won't miss or can't miss on your calendar.

Why can't exercise be one of them?

I mean, how glorious is that one sweaty, mindless hour of fitness with like-minded people??

For the most part, all you have to do is show up and before you know it the hour is over.

That's one hour when no one can ask you for a snack, or to find their favorite socks, or interrupt every adult conversation you try to have (sorry for venting here!).

It's therapeutic and self-care at its best. The truth is you need this hour back.

You also need to align yourself with good people, and you need to move that amazing body daily.

It's how you recharge your batteries and escape the trap that is a sedentary lifestyle.

So now what do you think? Can you commit? I feel like we're getting closer to saying yes!

Commitment doesn't mean you go hard right out of the gate; it means do what you can, whether it's 1, 2, or even 4 times a week.

Whatever it is, block it off on your calendar and make it happen!

Okay, so you're probably saying to yourself, my spouse will kill me if I leave at 5:30 at night to go to the gym. Or your boss would never let you leave work 10-15 minutes early to make the gym.

Guess what? Unless you ask, the answer is always no.

But no one will miss you if you leave for an hour a day. If you can't get to the gym, do the home workout, or go for a quick run.

SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING.

Just do it and see what happens. Commit already!

But it doesn't get any easier if you don't commit and stay consistent. Before you know it, 6 or even 12 months will have passed, and you have the choice to stay as is or become fitter.

So, is that a yes?! Choose YOU and commit already!
