People often ask me what makes CrossFit so appealing. There are so many answers that I can give; these ranging from the results to the community…
The other day, I saw the following post on a client’s wall: “CrossFit: Love how it keeps me in shape by making me feel completely out of shape after each WOD“.
There it is. Reason number 107 why CrossFit is so addictive.
It never gets easy. Due to its constantly varied component, it will always remain challenging. You should never become an expert. And if you perceive yourself to be one, you need to work a lot harder… or compare yourself to Rich Froning….
There is this thing that has often been referred to in CrossFit as the “As%*#@e Barrier” in CrossFit. It should never be easy. For all of us, it should be eternally humbling.
If you’re an as%*#@e, you can’t cope with this factor.
The next time your workout makes you feel out of shape, let this be your reminder of why you CrossFit. Let this be your reminder that you’re doing it right.
Great blog. The best part of our workouts is finishing something that felt like it was kicking your @$$ the entire workout. It’s a great feeling of accomplishment. We should all be proud of our accomplishments.
Work hard, stay humble.
I love the challenge, love the work and love the results -
Another fantastic blog LP. I have been thinking a lot this week about when I finish a wod. I am soaked to the bones and usually don’t smell too pretty, but I can honestly say that I never remember being this way at “other” gyms. CrossFit changes you and makes you hungry for more. I love checking out the daily blog likes it’s almost the day before Christmas to see what I’m gonna be in for tomorrow. Thanks to all the coaches for always keeping it challenging, and changing me.
