CrossFit Milford recently posted a blog entitled, “I CrossFit Because…” Jay stated why he CrossFits. Then, he opened up the discussion board to all of his members. There were 20+ comments on the blog that day, and most of the responses were very inspiring.
I figured we should try at at SCF. Why do I CrossFit?
I CrossFit because it allows me to unleash my aggression from a hard day’s work.
I CrossFit because it makes me feel confident and powerful.
I CrossFit because it has turned me into a problem solver in my everyday life.
I CrossFit because it is a hobby I can enjoy with my husband.
I CrossFit because it constantly promotes self-improvement.
I CrossFit because it makes me feel/look better naked.
I CrossFit because it has turned me into an athlete.
I CrossFit because I can suffer each day with an amazing group of friends.
I CrossFit because it is the highlight of my day.
So, tell me, WHY DO YOU CROSSFIT?

i love to crossfit because we have crazy happy hours!!!!!! No really i crossfit because it is a mental challenge each and every day. It also makes me a better athelete and really helps with all that pent up aggression of everyday life, and the crazy road trips!!!
Oh and did i metion the AWSOME group of friends i have made over the last three months you guys ROCK!!!!
I crossfit because it is the best high you can get, with such rewarding results both inside and out it is just the best thing ever!!!!
I crossfit because it gives me a feeling of accomplishment.

I CrossFit because:
–I want to look good in my wedding dress;
–I get to spend time with Mike (aka Nails);
–I like to sweat;
–I like to challenge myself;
–I like to set goals and meet them (and then set some more);
–I like to compete;
–I like being physically and mentally challenged;
–I can relieve stress and frustration;
–I have fun;
–I like seeing the Rx next to my name;
–I really like the people, the community, the support–and of course…the happy hours!
I crossfit because I love to push the envelope, I love the feeling of near death when the clock stops, and the machine I feel like as I walk out of SCF awaiting the next days challenge.

- it's the first "group" workout I have found in 12 years that is challenging, competitive, intense, fun and rewarding. I haven't had that since training with my team in college and trying to do it by yourself just isn't the same.
- it's helping me be a better runner, swimmer and biker.
- i love the no mirrors, no nonsense, no guy standing next to me doing bicep curls (incorrectly) and trying to pick me up, get your ass in here and work out HARD part of SCF!
I crossfit for the challenge of getting past "I can't".
I crossfit so I can say "I'm an athlete" again.
I crossfit for the competition – within our box and between others.
I crossfit for the burpees, not the snatches (I swear).
I crossfit because:
it makes me feel STRONG
it makes me do things I say that I "can't"
the people there make me laugh!
I want to look HOT on my 30th birthday
I love working out with Dan
I can wear weightlifting gloves and not look like a tool
of the great friends we've made in such a short time
I like the physical and mental challenge you get on a daily basis
it brought bubblegum vodka into my life

I also crossfit because our trainers (DP,LP, Kell, and Shlee) are legitimatly second to none. I know you've all pushed us McWalters further than we've thought possible – and there is still a long way to go. Thanks!
I Crossfit because I like to push myself as hard as possible both mentally and physically. It's always good to find your limits and to push beyond them.
I Crossfit because of the team/family I've found here and because of the fun times both in and out if the box they've given me.
I Crossfit because when it comes to my job, being in peak physical and mental condition could mean the difference in whether or not I come home at the end if my shift.

I Crossfit because people I know( family included ) don't recognize me any more.
I Crossfit because it makes me buy new clothes
I Crossfit because I get to wear redicilus shoes and under armor to the bar.
I Crossfit because the friends I've made over the past 4 months are there sweating, swearing, and doin' work with me at our box, "The Shoreline".
I Crossfit because I love the look on peoples faces when I tell them what my workouts are.
I Crossfit because it took 10 minutes off my 5k time without actually running a 5k.
I Crossfit because I can do legit push ups and pull ups when I couldn't before.
I Crossfit because it reduces "moob" size.
I Crossfit because it just plain works.
i love crossfit because it is cheaper than seeing my therapist.

This one is serious. I crossfit because it makes me a stronger more agile person in my everyday life. It also makes me stronger in my job wich is hard enough on your body, When i started crossfit i could not run 1/4 the way around the building, 3 weeks later i ran my first 5k. I may have not been the fastest but i finished without stopping. So THANK YOU to LP,DP,Kelly and my new DYSFUNCTIONAL family who busts there ass every day "in the box" And yes i love DP'S smile too!!!!
i crossfit because…. 2 years ago while at work lifting a patient i blew out my back. 8 months later i was having surgery and was being informed of ALL my restrictions, that would follow not to mention an end to a 23 year career in EMS. Before my injury i trained for triatholons,ran 5k and was a competive bodybuilder. now it was to stop. the first 6wks i couldnt lift anything heavier then a gallon of milk after that it was nothing heavier then 25lbs for a year and then 45lbs "forever". mentally this killed me. i couldnt be the athlete that i knew i once was. then i found crossfit!!! in 2 months i can back squat 135 lbs, front squat 85lbs etc. to be able to lift and be strong again is the greatest feeling in the world!! i crossfit because something as simple as carrying 2 chairs up and down the stairs makes me happy.i crossfit to be strong!! and to tell the world i told you i'd be back!!
