“FRAN”

She’s back…nothing brings on the “bubble-gut” more than these four letters: F-R-A-N!!!  At CrossFit, no one will ever ask you what your IQ or GPA is, or how much money you make a year, but one question that is often asked that involves a numerical response is:

 ”Dude, what’s your FRAN time?”

It is the most feared, yet well respected, CrossFit workout.  If you have never done it, you may be foolish enough to say, “that doesn’t look too bad!”  YOU COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG! I don’t know what it is that makes FRAN so scary.  Perhaps it’s the combination of the two movements (but, I have done FRAN with a row in between and didn’t find it even HALF as bad); perhaps it’s the intensity at which one is expected to complete the workout; perhaps it’s the pressure to shave off at least ONE SECOND from your previous time…whatever it may be, it is a CrossFit right of passage, and you need to get your butt to the gym tomorrow and giver her a whirl.

If you performed FRAN at our grand opening, now is the time to look up your old score and track your progress tomorrow.  Taking a mere 10 seconds off one’s time is a great feat.  I believe that most of you will be pleasantly surprised (for some, the goal will be to finish without passing out :+)  

So saddle up…the fastest FRAN time in the world is 1:58 (or something close), the slowest…..let’s just say that I’ve shaved 13:29 off of my first FRAN!

    haha all i gotta say is that fran is a BI!!H…and DP my double unders have improved greatly i smell a annie or our own creation challenge!!!

    my sister and I can not make it tonight, we have yet to come up against FRAN, the first time it came around it was only our second time at SCF, really want to try it I know I will be SORRY, see you Wednesday, Hi DP and LP and Desi, of course
