Brian McKenzie Reviews the Human Anatomy with Our Class

Our Class in Front of CrossFit Milford

I had the privilege this weekend of getting a CrossFit Running and Endurance Certification.  Naturally, one of my goals in this certification was to improve my own running skills; but more importantly, I did it for the Shoreline CrossFit community.  Besides videotaping, critiquing, and practicing with our own running form and mechanics, Brian (McKenzie-guru in the endurance community), BK, Jay, and Max taught us a plethora of information to help any of our clients in the endurance community.  We went over the human anatomy and why/how it becomes injured, how to fix the problem, not the symptom, trigger point treatment, programming and nutrition in preparing for all length triathilons (sprints to ironman), and marathons (even ultra-marathons, of which, Brian has completed several…that’s a 100 mi. race to those of you outside the endurance community), and stretching.  I certainly have some notes to review!  Applying Brian’s POSE-running techniques, improved the efficiency of my running by 78% in one day!

ON ANOTHER NOTE, THE GRAND OPENING BEGINS AT 9AM THIS SATURDAY-4 SYCAMORE WAY, BRANFORD.  I AM THRILLED THAT 17 OF OUR CLIENTS, ALONG WITH SEVERAL OTHERS FROM CROSSFIT MILFORD AND PERFORMANCE, HAVE SAID THAT THEY WILL BE COMING AND PERFORMING A WOD TO CELEBRATE!  ALL ARE WELCOME.  WE WILL HAVE SOME FOOD (COFFEE, FRIUT, BURGERS, AND BEER FOR AFTER THE WOD:+) ), BUT IF YOU WANT TO, FEEL FREE TO PACK YOUR OWN GOODIES.  LET’S KICK THIS OFF THE RIGHT WAY!
